What if every girl fulfills her potential?
Helping girls reach their full potential through mentoring is an essential prevention strategy. It costs $2,000 to support a Big and Little Sister mentoring match. Big and Little Sister matches are supported by our professional caseworkers who are experts in the field of social work. Even though Big Sisters BCLM is a volunteer based organization, it is the caseworkers that provide the critical support to allow a match to thrive. The math is simple, the more funding Big Sisters has the more caseworkers they can hire which leads to more vulnerable girls being supported by a female mentor. Investing in Big Sisters mentoring programs is proven to provide $18 social return on investment for every dollar invested. Mentored youth are happier and more successful in life.
